I had my surgical dressing removed at check up with my surgeon on August 1. Since then I have been using NMES every day for quadriceps strengthening. I started with quad sets and now I am able to use it with a straight leg raise. My strength has improved a lot the past week. I started back to work the past week with a reduced schedule and a break of a couple hours for lunch and icing my knee. The first couple of days were very tiring but not so bad by the end of the week. Still no bending of the knee for 3 more weeks and using the brace for 9 more weeks. I will continue with a reduced work schedule this week and then plan to return to a normal work schedule the following week. Next checkup with my surgeon is Thursday, August 15.
