6 days post surgery. Yesterday I went to see my surgeon for a dressing change. The incision looks great. Next appointment is August 1. Monday I went to the gym and I will go again today. Exercises at the gym include arm bike, hanging leg raises, back extension, machine chest press, machine rows, machine shoulder press, dips. I also work my right leg a little using the leg extension and leg curl machines. My brace is on all the time except in the shower and is still locked in full extension and will continue this way for a few weeks. On Tuesday and Wednesday I worked out on my stationary bike with one leg for 35 minutes and did my exercises 3x - quad sets, sidelying hip abduction, prone hip extension, heel raises and calf stretching. I also do some core work of crunches, double leg raise (with right leg supporting left), diagonal crunches and prone back extension. I am only takiing percocet at night for sleep. I take Ibuprofen and/or Tylenol in the morning and afternoon. I did not take anything yesterday afternoon and that impacted my sleep so I will return to taking something 3x/day. I tend to get very tired in the afternoon so I take about an hour nap. I can't wait until I get to bend my knee!
