Trap Bar Deadlift
Trap Bar Deadlift

It has been almost 2 years since my left quadriceps tendon repair. As I mentioned in my last blog, I am not limited by my left leg. It is now stronger than it was prior to the tear and repair but still not as strong as my right. It is about 80% of the right. I attribute this to having a partial tear for 5 years which limited my strength. I expect it could take up to 5 years to get it the same as the right. At any rate my strength with squat and deadlift is almost where I want to be. My best deadlift has been 215# for a set of 3. My best back squat has been 180# for a set of 5. My goals are to get back to deadlift 225# for a set of 5 and back squat 185# for a set of 5. I expect to achieve these strength goals this winter. Now the focus is on maintaining my gains over the winter and improving my biking.
